How many times have you experienced a moment where maybe you've been searching for something high and low and finally you find it - you just know that it's right by the feeling you have when you see it. That no matter how much you thought about what you wanted it to be or listed all the things that it should include - it wasn't until you saw it and FELT it that you knew it was right.
As much as we've all had this happen at some point we've also probably experienced seeing something that was right for us but not realizing it because our own inability to truly feel it, connect to it, and as a result know it's right. This can happen when we aren't clear for ourselves what it is we are actually seeking. But the good news is, you have the power to change this - to get clear. And that clarity starts with vision.
Until we're able to see what it is we want for ourselves only then can we recognize it when it comes along and as a result truly experience it and actually feel it. So we're doing ourselves a disservice if we're not taking the time to define and truly visualize what it is we want for ourselves and our life. I realized in my own life that I could benefit doing a bit more work in this area as I consider the type of romantic partner I want to be with - and beyond the partner - what I envision for the relationship; what does that look like and feel like? I'm also asking myself those same questions as I think about where I want to live in my next chapter - so far I've decide that's not here in LA because I'm not feeling it in the same way I used to so I'm allowing myself the opportunity to envision and feel what it is I'm looking for in other cities. I'm spending time not just thinking but writing descriptions and specifics around emotions and feelings so I can truly bring this vision to life in a way that inspires me. And then allowing myself to trust that I'll be able to recognize the feeling when it becomes tangible - when I find myself in that relationship that feels right and I see myself in the city that feels right.
What's something you want for your life? What would it look like and feel like to have that right now? Describe that, find photos, quotes, poems, your own words - bring it to life. Paint it, sing about it, write it, direct it - whatever your process or outlet is, just let it come out from your mind and into your heart so you too can truly feel and connect to it when you find it. Because once you're connected to your own vision - then and only then can it truly become your reality.

you gotta see it so you can feel it.
