bothers like no other

Lately I've been reminded quite a bit how lucky I am to have two incredible brothers (who also married two awesome women who have proven to be the sisters I otherwise would've never had). Like early this morning when I got the message that all went well with my brother's colonoscopy - thank god. After we lost our mom way sooner than we should have due to a super aggressive form of colon cancer, it's always nerve racking to have any family member go through. And so I find myself feeling very thankful that all is well in the world for another day b/c my brother's tests were all clean. And then later today I was doing something goofy with my dog that my mom used to do when we were kids and I texted Jake and was laughing out loud as I text him knowing he was going to crack up. And he wrote back LOL!!!!! which told me that he truly was laughing out loud and that image just made me smile so big.

Over the course of the last several weeks I've also heard myself saying to people how grateful I am to have my brothers -- that no matter what else happens -- they are always there. And we share a bond and a relationship as siblings that only the 3 of us can truly understand. And that's proven invaluable time and time again for me - as kids, when i went off to college, every time I moved, when mom got sick, when I launched my business, when my dad got engaged, no matter what it is -- my brothers have been there for me and they keep showing up bigger and better, or maybe I'm appreciating it more and more as life goes on. Whatever it is, I know I feel grateful and so today, I give a shout out to my brothers -- the best. XO
