this is love.

My September has been a whirlwind of love with two back to back weddings. One for my baby cousin Angela who I had the great pleasure of getting so close to when she moved to LA three years ago. We were both sad to see me move onto Austin but just as I was she met the love of her life, Anthony. Then there's Sarah - my dearest friend who I met six years ago on my second day of living in Los Angeles - thanks to our mutual friends Michael and Nikki. Sarah had the wedding she always imagined on a ranch in the roaring mountains of Montana, right along the river, in the most peaceful and picturesque place I've ever seen. And of course she married the man she once took to that said ranch and wondered if he had stollen her heart, Collin. Such incredible weekends spent with family and dear friends watching four people give the key to their heart and soul to each other.

At Sarah's wedding I gave a speech and the first part of it was inspired by what I've not just witnessed in my friends as they fell in love with their partners but also what I've witnessed in myself as I swim these uncharted waters of love. I thought I'd share it with my readers, it's called This Is Love.

Feeling something so utterly incredible that only your heart understands it – this is love.

Knowing what the other needs before he/she does because your connection is deeper than any other – this is love.

Being loved because of your imperfections and vulnerabilities, not in spite of them – this is love.

Seeing your soul mirrored back at you through your partner’s eyes – this is love.

Being seen exactly as you are with no judgment – this is love.

Here's to finding the one person who you can trust enough to bare your soul to and know that they hold your heart with the same trust.

Here's to love.
