
Maybe I'm becoming a true Los Angelino but I decided to do a "cleanse." Not one of the real intense ones where you just drink weird combinations of stuff but instead a brown rice diet cleanse. It's basically brown rice, veggies and fruit for all 3 meals. Herbal tea and water, no caffeine or alcohol. It's recommended for 7 days, I'm starting today and plan to go through Friday (5 days) and see how I feel, if all is going well I'll go through the weekend. And I'm gonna go until October with my detox (already on day 8). Just feeling like while I have the time and schedule to dedicate myself to eating better and drinking less, why not. I'm hopeful I'll be back at work soon and that will throw this leisurely schedule upside down so I figured I'll get my body in tip top shape and ready to take on a new challenge.
So stay tuned to see how I'm doing this week...I'm curious to see how I feel during and mostly, after. I think I love food too much to stick to something this regimented but I'm guessing I'll also feel pretty darn good so perhaps it will make me think twice before inhaling a bunch of processed shit.
Off to an interview this afternoon...one of a few leads...so fingers crossed.
