My dear friend Sarah came through once AGAIN. Not only did she score personally autographed pictures of two of the top 12 Idols for my dear nieces Margaret and Marissa, but she came through last night by getting me two tickets to Simon's final season judging American Idol and the Lee vs Crystal show down. It was totally cool to be part of LIVE TV and see it all unfold. I must say though--it all looks far more cool (and dramatic) on TV, it is why TV is so amazing. And while I'm fine seeing either one win, I've had crush on LEE all season so watching Crystal literally kick his A** on stage was a bit tough. Seeing it live, WOW, Crystal filled up that giant Nokia theater and owned the stage in a way that I'm not even sure Lee is capable of. So we'll see who takes it tonight!
We hung a bit afterwards and tried to get some shots of the top 12 idols in the press booths but they were pretty busy being interviewed and smiling at all the young girls. So after about a 1/2 hr of that we opted to head home and beat some traffic. All in all, a once in a lifetime experience, and quite fun. Thanks Sarah!!!
