and so the time has come

After blogging about the pending apartment move it's finally happening. That's right, I found a 1BR apartment in Brentwood, just west of Santa Monica, and about 3 miles from the beach. YAY. While this place isn't 100% of what I had envisioned, it was VERY well priced for the space and the area (nice and walkable too!) and it's a great layout (room for an office set up etc) with some built in charm which I love. AND, it's written into the lease "1 labrador dog approved." That's the best part! So now at least I can pack up my stuff with some excitement b/c I know where I'm headed and it's gonna be a nice new canvas for me to launch this next chapter with. And a funny thing happened when I found it -- I had that feeling when I walked in, like "this is it" (esp for the price!) and then I had a vision that while I was really hoping for a yard etc -- I think that's my next place, the one I pick out with the love of my life. All of a sudden I realized while that's still very much part of my vision, it's a bit further out. Still in line with my vision board but perhaps one of the final piece vs the next piece. The next piece is the dog (and getting back on a bike!). So there ya have it -- once again, I put it out in the universe (by boldly giving notice at my current place before finding a new one) and days later this popped up and I was able to see it and submit an application all within 1 hour -- it was meant to be. SO bare with me as the next couple weeks are consumed with address changes, mail forwarding, internet hook ups, packing and moving. But stay tuned for some great pics once I'm settled in. And to give you a sense of the charm, here's a couple shots of the living room and the beautiful wood floors and fireplace (!), and the window I picked out for my "office" :)
