So I just returned from the pretty cool city of Austin, Texas. And a few headlines have stuck out for me that have me considering this city as a future contender for me:
* Everyone is incredibly nice - and they actually mean it. Authentic from its soul. These people have heart.
* The city is booming - almost every street has construction happening - it feels alive with opportunity and growth. The likes of Apple, Facebook, Home Away and Whole Foods among others have corporate offices there.
* It feels like the people are not as overworked and hard as the east coast but also not as fluffy and vegan as the west coast - could it be the happy medium for lifestyle and authenticity?
* It reminds me of CA in a lot of ways - the casual vibe, the sun and warm air and one of the music "capitals" that so-cal has mixed with the entrepreneurial tech / start up energy and outdoor activity of nor-cal
* It's in a league of its own for live music - and it's all amazing. It wakes up my spirt and makes me feel alive like nothing else... singers, songwriters, live music and a lot of hotness.
* Cowboy hat and boots or not - men in Texas look like men, and they are hot.
* It's affordable - overwhelmingly so that's what so many people told me about why they love it. You can live good there - many definitions but certainly financially.
As I said, given all that I still want in my life - how can I not see what's staring me right in the face? Life is about knowing what you want and then manifesting it for yourself - and sometimes that means picking up and going where the opportunity is.
Stay tuned...this could be the early stages of my next chapter, exciting!!!
