savoring

There's a concept in positive psychology that if we could spend twenty seconds, just 20 seconds!, savoring good things that happen to us or positive emotions from compliments that people pass along it would significantly help our overall well-being. I've had a pretty fantastic couple of weeks - ever since I found the light - so I want to take some time to savor it.
I came home from the Hoffman process full of love and gratitude - for my friends and family and mostly for myself (where I realized I needed it the most). I've been much kinder to myself, leaning into what I need and staying away from what I don't. I've been much more connected to those who are important to me and I've had a strong desire to be in the company of others (vs wanting to be alone which is where I was for months before). I finally hosted a gathering at my house as I've wanted to forever and it was so lovely - I titled it a gratitude gathering to show thanks to all the cool people I've met here in Austin who made my year one and I know will make year two even more FUN. I also feel an incredible sense of peace and calm in my life. I don't find myself stressed out about things like money and not because there's any more of it but because I have a new sense of trust and faith. I feel my spirit is leading and guiding me now and with that I know I can't go wrong. It will all work out.

So yea, an energy shift for sure and I'm loving it. I even had a hot guy pick me (and koko - he actually started with him ha ha) up at the bbq place. He said he immediately noticed me and couldn't help but sense an incredibly sweet energy about me. He's been quite persistent since then so when I can find the time I suppose I'll take him up on his offer to take me out :) So that's worth savoring - someone pursuing me for a change!

I'm also savoring all of the positive feedback and accolades I've been receiving in the second business that I just launched with my partner Pete, a coaching colleague of mine. Our company is Change Positive llc and we've launched a cool new product for executive coaches to use with their clients called shift positive 360. Learn more here. We got to announce our new venture at our annual coaching conference at the school we both were certified at, The Hudson Institute. It was very well received and we already have coaches signing up for our certification training in June. YAY. We worked our tails off to get the company ready for this conference so it feels great to be launched and to be hearing positive feedback as well as lots of love and support from family and friends.

The community and connection I felt during the Hudson conference was also a series of moments worth savoring. To have quality time with my coach, to have proud moments with Pete as we launched, to connect with old and new friends, to soak in the beautiful air of Santa Barbara and to get to cap my trip off by visiting some people very dear to me in Los Angeles before coming home. Lots to savor - all the way up to and including the licks I got from Koko upon my arrival home (and licks are not something he gives away too often, if ever!).

Savoring each and every piece of goodness that's been surrounding me.

Life is good - let's all savor for a moment...
