This one's for you, Mom. We used to LOVE this song...right after the Titanic movie made it so big. And I'll never forget us requesting it and Jake and Steph's wedding and then of course, in true Kate style, you took over the microphone with the band to sing out the rest. We both sang our hearts out to it.
So today, walking down the 3rd Street Promenade, I was stopped in my tracks by this street musician signing the song. And I wanted to film this video and send it to my Mom because she would've loved it and thought it was so cool that this was right by my apartment. But instead I'll share it with you as a way to keep the memories going. And I'll try to smile as I think to myself, I guess the heart really does go on.

ReplyDeleteThat song got me about a month ago, I was heading to train john and i got into the car at it was playing. All i could think about was you and her singing it in the drive way. I cried the whole way there . ALso when i turned the corner i saw a women walking with blond hair. I know she was with me that morning. I totally agree with you it gets harder each day. I miss her so much too. I watch the pain in Shawn's eyes everyday. I know the pain i feel and how sad i am , I cant imagen what you feel each day.
