feeling productive

This has been quite a week so far and we're only at 'hump day.' I kicked it off with a new dog walking gig, just a day here or there when this person is out of town. Downside is it's no where near where I live but upside is it's cash, and I need cash about now. And the dog is pretty chill and cool. I'll include a pic, Frank, the Corgi everyone loves. Then I was off to have lunch with the CEO of the company where I used to work--that was great. Good to catch up with him, he's a great contact to maintain and good to know the door seems open should I choose to go back if/when the right opportunity pops up. From there, all while still in Hollywood, I hung with the dog some more (by the way, we can really meet some people on the street with a dog--everyone stops you!) and then went to meet two old co-workers/friends for drinks. That was fun and I realize I should hang w/ guys more often--they set me straight, especially when it comes to the rules and reactions to dating :)

Then today I started another 'here and there' babysitting gig for this super cool 9 year old, Sam. I'll tell ya, he's a smart kid and so fun to talk to. And they live in a very cool part of Venice--a great neighborhood. So that wasn't a bad way to spend my morning. And then this afternoon I went on an interview, which I'm not sure was quite right for me but it was good to check out--definitely worth doing. And I have another interview tomorrow and more babysitting on Friday.

I will say it was a bit rough having to set the alarm clock again--every day this week in fact--but it also felt good to have somewhere to get up and go. So that tells me I'm definitely ready to join the working class again. This has been an incredible luxury to take the time I needed to start to heal from all that's happened but I'm ready to be among people again and earn back some discretionary income! Look out once I've got a few bucks in my pocket again :)

In closing, i'll add a picture of the coastline that I drove along this weekend when I was looking to clear my head. This is only about 20 minutes north in Malibu, gorgeous.

Off to a third date this eve...third dates usually are a tipping point, so we'll see. Fingers crossed.
